About
It all started with desire and some determination.
In 2022 a group of pickleball enthusiast and community members set out to develop courts at Parkside Park in Chester. With the approval of the Chester Township Trustees and Park board; the volunteers' grit and determination stewarded the creation of some of the best courts in the area. These volunteers not only laid the logistical groundwork for the courts creation, but quite literally dug the holes to bring them to life, for the entire community to enjoy.
The outpour of support and excitement for the new installment at Parkside has led these fine volunteers to create the West Geauga Pickleball Club. WGPC exists to foster an environment where people can easily learn the sport, and advanced players can find the competition they seek. Assuring that these courts will be used for years to come.
If you were not aware, Parkside courts were built to accommodate adaptive play and are ADA accessible. Our volunteers truly embody the spirit of inclusive community fellowship.
